Architecture/Block Wall

Question
Mr. Taylor, I also have a cinder block wall that I want to cover with mortar/stucco. My exterior walls has a smeared mortar finish with the face of bricks in a random pattern that I love. The problem is this wall has been painted and I am afraid the same product will not stick. Is there any type of product to cover this painted block wall. Removing the paint would be impossible and wood is not an option. I need to be able to wash the wall from time to time. The wall is the front outside of my horse stalls. Your advice would be so helpful. Thank-you, Sonya E.

Sonya - I'm afraid I don't quite follow your question; you want to cover a wall with stucco, but the wall has brick on it that you like?  What is painted, and what "product" are you referring to?

Can you explain this a little more clearly?
