Architecture/Ideas for Frank Lloyd Wright theme bathroom and garage

Question
Dear Richard,

I just visited your website and found your designs beautiful.  My husband and I live in Wisconsin in a  ranch style house built in the 1950's.  There are many features that reflect or imitate Wright's design.  We would like to remodel our bath with earth tones to complement the lannonstone in our home.  Could you give us any ideas for an updated look?
Also any ideas for an Arts and craft type two car garage with a workshop?
Thanks so much.
Liz

Answer
Hi Liz - thanks for your question, and for the compliments!

As you know FLW did a great deal of work in the upper midwest so it's not surprising to find homes there influenced by his talents.

What kind of ideas are you looking for in the bath?  Colors?  Materials?  Products?  Design?  What does the bath look like now?

Same for the garage - what do you want to know?  Are you looking for plan book designs, or more information about Arts and Crafts style?

Expertise

Ask me about all aspects of house, remodeling. , and room addition design and construction. Ask me about historic homes, renovation, and restoration. Ask me about materials and techniques, and about how you can get the best value for your design and construction dollar. Ask me how you can make your home a very special place. I can't, however, answer specific structural engineering questions in this forum - that's something you'll need on-site observation for.
