Architecture/Kitchen Remodel

Question
Hello. My husband & I are in the planning stages of remodeling our kitchen. The house was built in 1958 and we need to update the kitchen. We want to add a dishwasher to our little kitchen as well as enlarge the small window over the present sink. Our question is: If we add a larger window (& we are limited as to the wall space available)over the sink & new dishwasher - the sink will not be "centered" in the window.  Is this something unusual that would make the kitchen look strange?  So you think it might be a kitchen "liability" in the future should we ever decide to sell?

If we put the dishwasher anywhere else - it would be too far away from the sink and, too, we were hoping to keep the plumbing cost to a minimum.

I have looked on the Internet at lots of kitchens and so far I have not found one kitchen where the sink was not exactly centered under the window (when a sink was installed at a window area.)  I appreciate your advise on this manner.  Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Answer
Sue,

In some cases this can be done with pretty good results. Can you possibly send a photo of the sink/window area so I have a more exact idea of what you are considering?

If not, please let me know and I'll provide you with my best possible answer.
