Architecture/porcelain tile

Question
what is the best way to cut in the middle of a porcelain tile?  we are putting it on the walls and need to cut out for an electrical outlet.  everytime we try the tile breaks.  we' tried a wet saw and a matabo saw.

Hi Daniel - thanks for your question!

You have to use a wet saw, with a good porcelain (diamond) blade, and cut very slowly.  Cut edges can be smoothed with 80 grit sandpaper, and interior cuts can be made with a diamond blade on a grinder.

Speed is the key - keep it slow and steady!
