Architecture/roof over deck

Question
Hi,
My Husband is very handy and I know he could build the roof over the deck like we want, but there is just one problem.
The roof is not just straight across. There is a twelve foot entrance built off of one end of the deck. My husband keeps saying, "I know I could build that roof if I could figure out, or have someone show me how to, do the valley.
ARe there any blueprints available or design books that would show how to do this? We live in rural N.D and the building season is so short here it is IMPOSSIBle to find a contractor willing to do such a little job. Can you help us?
Thanks,
Angela

Answer
Angels,

I would be glad to offer a suggestion, but I really need to see photos of the area and if possible a simple sketch of what you are proposing.  Please send these items to our e-mail:
