Architecture/wood paneling/molding/castings?

Question
Hello! I was wondering if you happened to know the period from which
certain wood panelings came from. The paneling/molding/castings (don't
know the proper term) I'm referring to are usually found throughout many
san francisco apartments, usually in main living rooms on all four walls. to
describe it, I'd say it's a rectangle of molding but the corners are inverted and
curved. what era would you say those were inspired by? french 17th/18th
century, baroque, rococo, victorian? I have no clue! :) Thanks so much!
