Question
QUESTION: I was told that the Lancaster has been redone and is a good place to stay in Buenos Aires. Any thoughts about it? We are looking for a nice place that is comfortable, quiet, but centrally located. WE are travel and food writers. We are coming next March.

thanks.

ANSWER: Hello!
The Lancaster hotel is good but I think that the location isn't the best .If you see the city map this hotel is in the city center ,but the business center .
There are a lot of hotels in different places to stay that surrounding you have a very nice night life .The best places to stay for tourism are in the following neighborhoods:Recoleta, Palermo Viejo (Old Palermo)or near Puerto Madero. In your case (food writers)in this zones there are the most important and newest restaurants.
If you have any or more doubts please write me again

QUESTION: OK, thanks Fabiana. So what hotels do you recommend in the areas you suggested? What are some of the best restaurants?
thanks

Answer
There are a lot of hotels but I have favorites

In Palermo Viejo (Old Palermo) :SOHO ALL SUITES this area is full of restaurants and nowadays is the most fashionable zone .Have you been in Paris???? Old Palermo is equal to Quartier Latin or St germain

In Recoleta :Bel Air Buenos Aires
         Loi suites Recoleta
Kempinsky Hotel Park Plaza (take care because there are more Kempinsky hotels in Buenos Aires ,but for me this (park Plaza) has the best location)
         Plaza San Martin Suites
         Concord Callao by temporary

Some  are aparts hotels

Puerto Madero: It is a place like the docklands in london .Here in the docklans built restaurants .Hilton Buenos Aires Hotel is situated there. Is a nice place but I think that is better to live in Recoleta (is very near)

Where are you from????
Sincerely
Fabiana
