Could you help me? I am fortunate to be able to visit Argentina where my son (19) is staying with a host mother in her home while he studies in Mendoza. I would like to bring a gift to the kind woman who has been so welcoming, kind, and generous towards my son. She is near my age (I am 51) and she lives alone, although her brother visits everyday. I know she can get whatever she needs on the internet and that there is abundant shopping in Argentia, but can you suggest some possible appropiate gifts I could bring from the U.S.? My son said her hobby is to restore furniture. Thank you for your time.

I can try to help you.Do you know if the woman speaks English???Because I studied antiques for many years and here its very difficult to find books about this topic and also about restore.This is a good gift ,but if she doesn't speak English I recommend  you to buy some materials to restore.First you ask your son what kind of furniture  and which materials she use for restore.I know that in US(because I was there) exist a lot of books in this topic
