Question QUESTION: Ayres de Recoleta was recommended for a stay in BA. Do you know it and do you recommend it? We are an adult couple with only a short stay in BA at the end of a trip. We would like a clean and well maintained place. Would like to also visit Frenkles leather store and Las Nazaranas restaurant.

I think that Ayres de Recoleta is a good place to stay .I have never been there but I heard that is good .I recommend LOI SUITES RECOLETA is in the same neighborhood ,but I don't know if it is in the same category or it is more expensive.
Las Nazarenas Restaurant is very good but I prefer RIO ALBA restaurant (Cerviņo 4499 - Ciudad de Buenos Aires Tel: 4773-5748/9508 Palermo ) For me is one of the best to eat meat and isn't expensive
In order to Frenkles leather store I never heard about this shop

It is a good question.I think that depends on what you want .
First I don't know which are your preferences. In my opinion Old palermo or also called Palermo Soho is the best choice due to its nightlife and fashionable context.
On the other hand, Recoleta is also a very touristic neighbor where to stay, but perhaps lacks a little bit of nightlife. It is really elegant and antique architecture predominates.
