Question
QUESTION: I tried to book a ticket from Buenos Aires to Iguazu and found out that the prices drastically shift if you change the nationality/country settings (at both lan.com and Aerolineas Argentinas), You pay way more if you're european in comparison to being argentinian. How come so? and is there a way to avoid this?

ANSWER: Hi!  Yes, I have run into the same problem for Peru.  I tried to book a flight on Lan site and it would not take it in the Spanish one.  If you want, I could give you an address of a tour operator in BA that I use all the time.  I am not sure he can get it for you for the local price (usually for those living in Argentina) but it would be worth a try.

I have used this person many times and sure he or his co workers could answer if they could do it for less.  If you do want it, let me know and tell him what the USA flight would cost you.

Answer
Morning!

http://www.defrantur.com/  this is his Web Page

rdefranco@fibertel.com.ar

Above is Ricardo's address for his office.  I would be curious, too, if he can get you a better fare.  He has always put it in a package for me, so I am not sure if he can do the lower price.  I know there is a BIG difference.

Just tell him Kathy from Orlando suggested you write him.  He is a super nice person and has even been to my home.  Have a great time and be sure you do the boat trip under the falls at Iguassu.  Kathy

I have been to Argentina many times and the last in 2007. Have visited, IGU Falls, Mendosa, Northern parts of Argentina (Salta). I also do volunteering for Peru/Ecuador/Chile/Brazil. Just never took the time to sign up for Argentina but now having been to more areas, feel I could help those that want to travel there. Kathy
