Question
we want to visit Patagonia and lake district of chile and argentina, may be next year end.what are the must see places, and how many days should we schedule? Are there any place we can base ourselves and explore the places around. we are both in our 50s, so hiking and trekking are not possdible for us unless it is something easy.

Answer
Hi!  Look at flying into Santiago and see that area and then fly down to Puerto Montt.  You can do the crossing of the lakes by bus and boat that will get you to Bariloche.  I would schedule 2 weeks to be able to see and do the things you want.

If you want, I can give you a good contact in Buenos Aires that would be able to help you.  Just e-mail me directly at  KathyinMCO@aol.com

Sorry, can't help you more at this time.  Kathy

I have been to Argentina many times and the last in 2007. Have visited, IGU Falls, Mendosa, Northern parts of Argentina (Salta). I also do volunteering for Peru/Ecuador/Chile/Brazil. Just never took the time to sign up for Argentina but now having been to more areas, feel I could help those that want to travel there. Kathy
