Question
We are visiting Tucson in Sept and would like to see the Saguaro National Park. With only one day available for the park, which side would you recommend - east or west? We would only be driving or doing short hikes - not all day or overnight. Thanks

From my personal experience we bike rode through Saguro East.  You could do that in the morning and then drive out to West for sunset.  Near there is the Sonoran Desert Museum which is a botanical garden and zoo.  This worth a trip.  There are so many wonderful things to do in that short time. Enjoy!
