They say that a western July gets hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk. And though their sidewalks don't quite do the job, some Arizona folks compete every year to show what does. What is the name of this crazy comtest and where is it held?

I have heard that there is a sidewalk egg-frying contest in July in Oatman, Arizona in northwest Arizona near Nevada.
