QuestionCould you please give me a few tips of things to do in the Scottsdale area? We [ my wife and 2 kids-ages 8&11] would like anything educational or picturesqe eg. Sedona . Anything we shouldn`t miss. Thankyou for your time. Jim
AnswerI am not sure what time of year you are visiting. Sedona is definately wonderful and make sure to stop at SLide Rock State Park. If it is warm, you can partake of the fun and see the beauty simultaneously. The view from the Enchantment is magnificent at sunset. You can have dinner there. Hiking Boynton canyon behind it is fun too. The Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson and the Saguro National Park to the south in Tucson are fun things. Check with the NPS if anything special is going on then. There is Old Tucson which is fun and quirky. There is Tombstone and other artistic areas to visit along with missions to the south on the way to Mexico. Also check the state calendar to see what special events are occuring.
have fun!

Don't forget to take the Pink Jeep Tours into the desert.
