Question
QUESTION: Mindy ,
My husband and I will be vacationing in Sedona from August 26 to Sept. 2 . I have some physical problems that will prevent us from any strenuous hiking , short walks I can handle !Any suggestions as to what we can do while in the area ? We love antiquing / junking around . We also plan a trip to the Grand Canyon probably after we visit Sedona . Thanks for any info you can give .
Carolyn

ANSWER: Hi Carolyn,

There are several options for you in the Sedona Area.  You will definately want to visit Tlaquepaque (www.tlaq.com).  This collection of galleries, shops and restuarants is fabulous and if you go to the website you can see the  amazing  architecture  as well.  In downtown Cottonwood there are some good antique shop, and Jerome is right around the  corner ( incredible views, artsy shops built into a hillside).  As far as Archeological sites go you should probably see Montezuma's Castle and Well.  I think they have websites also.    The Grand Canyon is about an 1 1/2 -2 hour drive from Sedona.  One final tip - The airpost vista is a great place to take sunset photos.  There is aslo a restaurant on top which is great for breakfast, you can watch the planes fly in and out to some fabulous views.....our airport is on top of a mesa.  Have a great trip. ps sorry for any typos.....

QUESTION: Mindy ,
Will check out the web sites you mentioned , also any advice you can give on balloon rides , Pink jeep tours and the canyon R.R. out of Sedona ,( not the one to the Grand Canyon .)

thanks ,
Carolyn

Answer
Hi Carolyn,

Pink Jeep has some great tours, so does a Day in the West.   The Verde Canyon Railroad is a great trip....my mother loved it.  You see parts of the canyon you never would see otherwise.  I am not so sure about what Ballon Tours to reccomend.
