Question
Hello Sir:  I waived James Jackson(Browns RB) to acquire Thomas Jones.  My friend has Michael Pittman, already.  Do you think that Jones will have more yards and/or TD's this season than Pittman will have?  Thank you for your time, sir.

Sincerely Yours,
 David

Answer
Hey David thanks for asking,

Not a bad move releasing Jackson, though he will get the starting nod now that Cleveland traded away Travis Prentice.  Jones is a much better pickup though.  Of the two (Jones/Pittman) I would definately hold on to Jones.  Camp this year has proven 2 things: 1) This line can open holes for ANYBODY. 2) Jones is much more confident running the ball this year.  Last season, too often we'd see Jones cutting back and forth and not making a definitive decision on where to run.  This season he's attacking and slashing.  I expect a big year out of Jones.  You'll also be pleased to hear the Cards have 13 different plays that use Jones as a receiver out of the backfield.  As for Pittman, remember he will miss the first game from the suspension for his arrest.  Don't forget the Cards have a bye week in week 1.  That means Pittman won't even be ready to go until week 3 of the season.  By that time, other backs on other teams likely will have emerged as key players.  Keep and eye on Kevan Barlow in SF.  No telling how healthy Garrison Hearst really is.  Also consider Terry Allen in Baltimore.  He clearly is the best of the 3 RB's in that system already.  If you want more analysis visit
