QuestionQUESTION: I am looking for some aromatherapy to help me concieve. I have a low progestrone level, short luteal phase and high prolactin level all of wich I believe are caused in general by stress so I am looking for something safe to use the will promote relazation and balancing of hormones.
ANSWER: I am sorry that it has taken me so long to respond, usually I respond within a few hours, however I never received notification that someone had asked a question until today.
Fertility is a very delicate balance of hormones and it is not easy to try to work on those on your own. I would recommend that before you start trying to change them you either find a professional who does muscle testing or take a class and learn to do it yourself. This will help provide you more specific data to base your oil and supplement decision on.
However there are some wonderful oils to help with fertility and stress. I will list out some of my recommended oils.
Chaste Tree: This oil is a balancer to your female system. It aids and encourages your body to make progesterone and achieve overall balance in your hormones.
Spearmint: Spearmint can really help your body up your progesterone levels but only if taken at the right times of the month. You would want to take it in some tea on day 7 to ovulation to help prepare your body to make progesterone.
Woman Wise: This is a blend of clary sage, fennel, goldenrod, jasmine, lavender, marjoram, patchouli, spikenard sold by www.mybutterflyoils.com This blend is for creating hormonal balance in younger women. It can also aid in PMS symptoms.
LIVN: This is also a blend sold by mybutterflyoils.com. Most hormonal problems are the result of a fatty or unproductive liver. Your liver is your bodies hormone balancer. It helps filter or excess estrogen from your body and is an integral part of your hormonal system. You should start researching how to detoxify your liver with oils (Livin, Grapefruit) herbs (dandelion root, milk thistle) and other cleansing procedures (diet, Epsom salt baths, caster oil packs).
Overall there is so much information out there about your hormonal system. Oils can absolutely aid you in the balancing of your hormones, however if your body is toxic from poor food choices, pharmacy drugs and the environment your top focus would be getting your body healthy and detoxified so that it is a good environment for a pregnancy. Once your body is in order you may see many of the hormonal issues resolving. In the meantime, you can use some oils to help encourage your hormonal system to start doing it's job.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

QUESTION: when you say take it in some tea are you saying I should take some speramint oil and put it in some tea and drink it? I didnt know you could do that! How much should I take? Also I take vitex tincture would it help to rub the tincture like an aromatherapy oil?
AnswerYes that is exactly what I would do. Make a raspberry leaf (also good for hormones) tea and add a drop of spearmint oil (make sure it is a 100% Pure therapeutic grade food grade oil) and drink one cup of that a day.
Vitae tincture works as well, however the oil is much more powerful and concentrated, so if you are not seeing the desired results with the tincture you can upgrade to the oil. If you find a professional who muscle tests you could easily determine which you body would respond to better.
Using oils and any alternative medicines are delicate and you have to really listen to your body and your symptoms. Be a scientist and experiment with the oils and herbs. It may take you a few months to determine what your body responds to best. Always start out with small amounts of oils and then work your way up if your body is not responding as you think it should.
