Question I have aquired a painting by Gaspar Giraroux. It is an oil and appears to be fairly
old, including the gilded frame. I have been unable to locate any information on
this artist. Have you ever heard of this artist?
Answer Hello Brett - and thanks for yur question. I'm sorry but I have never heard of an artist by this name. You didn't mention the style of painting, nor the subject matter - nor if you have any information that might aid an investigation (such as a date) ... so it's all a bit of a mystery. You would be best advised to take your painting to a local fine art dealer who might be able to point you in a direction that will offer more satisfaciton that I can ... I am sorry.
