Question I am looking for an expert on Georgia O'Keefe that may be able to tell me if I have one of her oil paintings or not. I have viewed her work and it looks as though I have one of her undiscovered works. Please advise.
Answer Hello Mayo - and thanks for your question. You need to take your painting to a fine art dealer - one specialising in 20th century American painters (if possible) - Sotheby's or Christie's would be great choices, if you have access to them. The dealer will need to inspect the painting closely (possibly even remove the frame, if there is one) to verify authenticity.
I hope your painting is an undiscovered O'Keefe! That would be marvellous.
