Hi Kathleen, This painting (A Morning. The Dance of the Nymphs) was painted by Jean-Baptiste Carot around 1850. Carot was a member of the Barbizon school which believed that master pieces no longer required to consist of subject matter that related to religion. I found a little blured on the internet for you about this peice in particular. Here is the address
