Question
I'm a neophyte at art history, please bear with me. The facilitator of the art history class I'm taking is requesting personal vinettes or gossipy tidbits written about the brothers, how they were discovered or written about, or some interesting tidbits about their family history. Can you help with resources?  Thanks.

Answer
Hey Vicki, If I were you I would look into the "Art Bullentin" It has published many articles unveiling new information about old masters. That would be your best hope. Chances are any good size library would have a large collection of them. Perhaps even go to an Institute for the arts and see if you can gaze at their collection of catalogues and articles (they usually let you if you are a student studying Art History...)
Im not sure if Vasari wrote anything about them but he was known as the gossip king in those days. Perhaps check him out and see.
Hope this helps you a bit
