Art History/Old Painting

Question
I have 2 paintings by J. Charlron ( or could be Charlton?). One named "last fence" and 1 "good start". They are of fox hunting. Do you have any info on this artist or paintings?  Thanks

Answer
Hello Rob - and thanks for your question.  A cursory search reveals an artist named Beth Carlson, an American, who paints a bucolic, highly Romanticised version of so-called 'sporting' art,  although I must admit to never having heard of this artist.  I found copies of her works reprinted in Horseandhound.com

Perhaps this helps you identify 'your' artist?
