Art History/Paintings of Van Gogh post-mortem
Expert: Sharon Shaffer - 9/30/2004
QuestionDear Sharon,
Excuse me for the delay.
At last, I inserted the photos in the link below:
http://luntes.vilabol.uol.com.br/vangogh.htm
I know my question is kind of weird, but I think that, as a Van Gogh expert that you are, it might, for the least, be of interest for you to know a supposedly "recent" Van Gogh's work.
The first two photos are of the whole painting. The last two shows the signature, from which you can see Vinc...(a blur)...t
Thanks for your cooperation

Dear Sharon,
Excuse me for not replying sooner.
I tried to insert the pictures on my webpage, but I had a trouble with it and I couldn't do it.
The trance painting I have was made this year by a woman in a trance session.
She used her hands to paint with acrylics and in 10 minutes it was finished.
It is signed Vincent and it's a landscape with 2 houses, a fence, 6 trees (which I think are the things that most resemble the trees Gogh used to paint) and the sun.
Tomorrow I'll be able to send you the link to the painting and signature.
Thank you for your interest in my question.

Question -
Dear Sharon,
I am in Brazil and I have a Van Gogh's painting made through what is called trance painting.
I'd like to know your opinion on this subject.
I may send you a picture if you want.
Thanks
Luis
Answer -
yes please do send the link of the picture so I know what you're talking about! Thanks!
Answer -
ok send it to me whenever you can
Answeryeah that looks like Vincents signature that he used but it looks like it wasnt dry or something and it got smudged somehow, and it looks like something that he would do, but I dont know, that really didnt look like pointillism (the style that he used) but who knows, its a great painting, thanks for sending it! Is there anything else that you would like me to answer for you?
