Question
What is the purpose of "stamps" on artwork?.  Would stamps be stamped on back or on the front of the artwork?

Stamps are circular and read "Civico Museo Correr".  Are placed on front of sketches by
Tepelo.

Where can I locate more information on this
artists and museum stamping of artwork?

The purpose of stamps from Gallery and museums is to show ownership.. A very asian thing.. The Correr Museum is a very amazing museum in Venice on the far side of Piazza San Marco Accros from St. Mark's
