Expert: Jeni Andrews-Fraser - 8/14/2007

I have searched the net for information on this artist and can find nothing about him/her, other than a few of his/her prints.  I have 6 of landscapes by this artist and would very much like to know more about him/her.  Do you know any history of this artist F. Massa??

Hello Barbara, and thank you for your question.  Unfortunately, I am not able to help you.  I have never heard of F. Massa and a cursory internet search reveals only one artwork - rather unhelpfully, a basket of poppies.  I wonder if it would be useful to compare Massa's work with another artist - so as to try and 'place' him/her in a context (so you can explore a century, a place, a theme etc.)  The best person to help you do this (if you don't want to undertake extensive research) is your local fine art dealer who may, depending on your location, already be familiar with the artist's work.  F. Massa doesn't yet appear in the annals of 'great' artists of the world ... but who knows, you may have cornered the market on an up-and-coming star!  So sorry I could not be of more help.  Good luck in your search -- and enjoy your paintings.
