Question
there is a painting, i believe early renaissance, that is the death of a man in bathtub while he is reading a book or something. i was curious if you were familiar with it all. thanks for help, i know that my description was pretty vague, but i appreciate it. thanks

Answer
It is "The Death of Marat" (Jean Marat).  He had a skin condition, so he was in the bathtub a lot, which is why he has the writing desk across the tub.  It is by Jacques-Louis David:
