Question
I recently bought a painting that is very pretty to go in my living room. It is a watercolor of wild flowers(yellow) in a basket.  The name at the bottom is Hoe Won...I have looked every where and can not identify or find anything similar. can you help?

Answer
Hello Lesley - and thank you for your question.  Regrettably, I have never heard of an artist by the name of Hoe Won.  S/he certainly doesn't appear in the annals of 'great artist' and I suspect that s/he is one of a number of Chinese (or other Asian) artist producing artworks for the Western market.  If the painting matches your living room, then please enjoy it and be content with that.  I doubt (but could not be sure without having seen it) that it is worth much - but if you wanted a valuation, your local fine art dealer would be the place to go first.  Sorry I couldn't identify your pretty painting.
Cheers
