Question
I have what appear to be two bronze statues by Par Rousseau one La Paix and one Gloria,  I can not find any info on the sculpter, can you help

Answer
Hello Jo - and thank you for your question.  I have two ideas about your statues .. the first, that they might be 19th century French (the titles) pieces - but a better description would be useful in determining that - and second, that they are not by any famous Rousseau.  The two most famous Rousseaus on this planet were Jean-Jacques (a philosopher) and Henri (the painter whose work exerted an "extensive influence ... on several generations of vanguard artists, starting with Picasso and including Léger, Beckmann and the Surrealists".)  I think you are best advised to take these statues to your local fine art dealer and ask for an appraisal.  Alternatively, you could undertake some detective work yourself and tap '19th century French sculpture' into Google images and see if there's anything that remotely resembles your pieces.
Good luck - and enjoy your statues.
Cheers
