Question
Hello- Could you give me a definition of what a talio-chrome print is?
Thank you!

Answer
I've had this question before and all I remember is that it is done on a type of yellowed plastic, which I suspect to be celluloid.  I think it was one of the Fairbanks who did some prints on it (a well-known film star from the 1930's), and the Talio is a certain chemical (thalium?) that is black or used in a black pigment.

I looked back through my emails about it and didn't find the exchanges we had on it.  The archiving system here is difficult and so I wasn't able to find it archived here either.

It is rare, and as far as we could find out, it was only used by the one actor.

If you do a google search on the word taliochrome, talio-chrome, talio chrome and also spelled thalio -
you will find the same references I did at the time.

I know your name and wonder if it was you who asked me before?
