1)trebizond casket 1420 th era
2)or a name of a artist by (DTANT)
3)and was it used for a sarcophagus or waffers

Hello Paul - and thank you for your question.  Your casket would seem to be of Byzantine origin, although I am not personally acquainted with it - nor of the artist you mention.  Its use depends on its size (which I have been unable to determine on a cursory search) -- a sarcophagus is, basically, a coffin - so would need to be large enough to hold a body and its casket.  I don't know what you mean by 'waffers'.  I picture of this casket (contained within the catalogue for an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art) shows a small-ish box,covered with silver-gilt with figures in niches/arches carved into the lid.  Perhaps you have enough basic information to carry the research into this piece (and your artist) forward.  Good luck.
