AboutFrank Leeding Expertise I can (possibly) answer questions regarding art history, technique, theory, and the occasional quandry.
In addition to drawing and painting (mainly with acrylics these days),
i know a bit about printmaking: Intaglio (etching), relief, offset,
transfer and some things about photography. I also use a welding torch
to "draw" in metal and then pound the sheets flat and print them.
I pretty much "live" in 2D (and much 4D (time); but, 3D is just sort of
"thick" version of 2D to me;)
Experience As an artist I [sic] have shown my art work in both open and juried shows. I have an extensive background in both studio and cultural studies in art and related areas. I currently hold bachelors and master degrees in art and technology.
In addition, I write extensively on "art theory". And I'm fairly good at mixing paint.

Hello, I'm not sure if your the right person to speak to but I hope you can point me in the right direction. My great grandfather did a charcoal drawing of a Lion and Lioness that was copied off an original picture that is quite well known, apparently. He died in 1917 during World War one, in France. If I can show this picture to someone that I have uploaded to my computer, hopefully someone can tell me more about it. I have seen a picture of it in a magazine, years ago, but I've since lost it.
Thanks for you help,
Belinda
Answer Hey!
I'm so sorry not to get back to you later.
(not that i haven't been thinking of whom the artist might be)
but, i could try to tell you who it *can't* be.
A few more clues, perhaps? There must be more than you know.
I mean: "He died in 1917" - about a year b4 the end of wwi, etc.
again, at this point - not a clue. sorry.
frank.
if you can get *any* info about the artist (and don't be afraid to set probabilities); eg,
i sortof remember that it was in xyz magazine, but it might
have been in - 20%.
and he had a name like morgan or morgawitz or something like
that - ??%
