I have a computer idea but need some help on how to get it done.  I would like to speak into my microphone and say  “Genie” and then a pop up on my computer screen of a genie in a bottle will appear.  Then smoke will come out of the bottle and a genie will appear.   Then the Genie will say to me  “hello master”.   Do you know how I could do this?

Yes, of course you can do this using sound modulation techniques and other couple of stuff. You need to integrate this voice sample with the application to trigger the process. Although, it can be done, but it is not an easy task. I can do it for you, but the charges will be high..

The charge will depend upon the complexity of the application. I will need more details about the platform and other dependencies of the application. We also need to figure out the integration of voice module with the application, which is very complex. Most of the sound recognition software have their own engines and it would not be possible to use them without knowing how they are sharing the information component and modulating it. Most of the architecture is patented. So, either you ready to pay them heavily or design one for yourself.  The engine has to be developed and then it has to be tested specifically for the application. It has to be trained for your voice and the trigger has to be developed for launching the application.

One way of getting around with the engine is to 'freeze' the text pattern of 'Genie'. This will also work perfectly but then you have to open yourself for challenges like variation in sound that could result in command completly rejected.
