Question
Hello. I live in Oklahoma, and I want to sell my jewelry online. But I would like to have the chance to also put some of my things in a store to sell as well.

Do I need a business license to sell online in Oklahoma?
Do I need a business license to sell a few items in a store (which I don't own) in Oklahoma?

What do I need to do to get the correct license, if I need one?

Answer
Heather,

Please click on the link below and read How do I start a business in Oklahoma.

Then scroll down till you see the frequently asked questions with the answers listed under them.  You should probably read all of them.

I found it hard to get a business license for one of my businesses because of several reasons (outside city limits, county doesn't require one, state doesn't even make one).  I did eventually get one from a neighboring city.  My current business is just listed with the state secretary as DBA (Doing Business As).

There are benefits of having one like being able to open a business account and accept checks made out to your business name (which will definitely help with taxes).  You need a business license to be able to buy supplies at wholesale prices.  Do yourself a favor and get one if at all possible.

Good luck,
