I have what could be a great idea for a saying to go on the front and back of a t-shirt; however, I don't want to invest in starting up a business. Instead, I'd like to sell the copyrighted slogan to somebody who already has an established t-shirt line. Is this possible?

You could do this if you can locate a company who is interested in purchasing the slogan. I would do some research on the internet to locate the ideal company who would want to buy it. You might want to check out some key words for the slogan or identify a company that manufactures T-shirts - there may be possibilities in both areas, it just depends on the slogan.
Alternatively you may want to license the slogan so you get a piece of each item that is sold with that slogan. This is a way to create passive income.
I would definitely check out the legal ramifications on either scenario.
