Question
Hi Candy,

I've been interested in crafts for a while and love making various things but would be interested on where would I start to sell items.

Would I need to make lots of things up in advance to sell online or just a few bits and make things to order? I have seen ebay has a site called etsy how would I start to sell on this?

Also is it worth making up my own website and what do you find tends to sell well, I'm in to lots of various crafts but unsure what would be the most profit making?

Thank you for all your help,

Kind regards

Answer
Hi Amy,
I saw your 2nd question about the pompoms so will answer them both here. You would definately benefit from starting on Etsy.com before you build you think about building your own website. That will put your products right in front of your target audeince- people looking for handmade crafts. It will also give you an idea if your product will sell, how to price it and who's buying it.
All you need to get started is just one of each item. If it sells, then make another. You can also give people the option to have custom made items.
Etsy is very easy to get set up. Just go there and sign up and the site will guide you through the set-up process. Once you get on, check out the helpful groups where you can post questions and read what other people have asked.
It's the holiday shopping season so this is a great time to get started!
You can find me on Etsy at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/threemusesclothing?ref=ss_profile

Good luck!
Thanks,
