Sorry I sent you  a message a few minuites ago but forgot to mention what craft I am currently interested in, I've only really just started but I'm interested in making things with pom poms I have made flowers and for christmas snowmen and reindeer and also making paper pom poms to make flower bouquets and decoration. I have also been making poupouri in gift bags and gingerbread houses. Do you think any of these ideas would sell or do you think it wouldnt be worth the time and effort?

Christmas products are a great niche - many businesses make most of their money in the fourth quarter of the year. I've had a client who ONLY sells Christmas products spending the rest of the year creating products, searching out products to sell in addition to theirs and marketing, marketing, marketing.

You see in the long run it is not just the product - it is marketing of the products. You have to communicate with your target market and let them know you have something to sell. Once you have the idea - then you have to focus on the marketing. I think this is what people who go into business for themselves don't always realize.
