can you suggest some craft ideas with easily found materials like paper, glue ,scissors,cotton,paint,foil and plastic bottles etc .for ages  9-12

Above is a copy of a website that will have crafts made of card stock paper.
These crafts are for all ages and skill levels.
you can let a child go to this site because it doesn't have all the undesirable popups.

these are also a good sites.
some of the sites have instructions on how to use the patterns that are printed out.
this project can be set aside to be finished later.
if you wish wood, or origami type in google free wood plans, or free origami and you will get a lot of websites. BE CAREFULL with search, it can take you to some bad sites, don't let the child do it.
