Question
Dear MaryAnn,
Do you know any sites where you could make free cards on the internet? I want to make a card for my mom's b-day and I don't want to pay $3 on a stupid card.
Thanks
Carly

Answer
Hi, Carly. I just got the rating from AllExperts regarding my answer to you about making a birthday card for your mom. I'm sorry that I did not answer with the knowledge or expertise you needed. You asked a question that was outside my expertise, as I am the author of books about art for kids, not crafts. Still, I tried to give you a good idea for making your own card, and I hope you mom liked her birthday card, however you finally decided to create one. I should have suggested you do a simple Google search for "create birthday card", and I'm sure something good would have come up. I found these two excellent sites:
www.cardnotes.com
www.mycardmaker.com
www.dltk-cards.com/

I hope these ideas help you.

Sincerely,
MaryAnn

Carly. I don't know of a website for making cards, but I'm sure there are plenty of them. Do a search on Google or  Yahoo for kid make card. I would try "crayola.com" if all else fails.

Here's an idea. You kn ow how special your mom is. Why don't you take a photograph of you and her together, or you as a baby, and attach it to a folded piece of paper. Then write something warm and loving inside, or write something silly.  Your mom will treasure it.

Best of luck!
