Arts/Crafts for Kids/French Knitting

Question
Hi Sherri,
My daughter has asked me to start her off with french knitting.  I have gotten a wooden knitting reel and hammered four nails in the top.  I remember how to do french knitting but I can't remember how to start.  After several attempts I have given up but my daughter hasn't stopped pestering me.  Do you have any ideas or know of someone who might?
Regards,
Julie.

Expertise

I have extensive experience working with children, and enjoy creating craft projects families can do together. Through the years, I have experimented with many different craft techniques using a variety of supplies. My personal favorite is creating treasures from trash! Why throw away toilet paper rolls or empty coffee cans? I also love all holiday crafts.

Experience

I have been a crafter in one form or another all my life. I have also been a day care provider and an elementary school employee. I am the mother of three. As a day care provider, I created my own curriculum program and craft projects for the kids.

Organizations
I have volunteered in many youth and community organizations including Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H, etc.

Publications
My craft articles and projects have been featured and/or reviewed by many publications such as Access Magazine, USA Weekend, and a few "who's-who on the Internet" books.

Education/Credentials
As an ex-day care provider and elementary school employee, I have taken various classes in child development and guidance. I have also attended many community craft classes for adults.
