Aruba/Aruba in late September

Question
We are planning on a Caribbean vacation in late September is Aruba a good choice considering many other places will be experiencing hurricane season?

Answer
Hi Diane! I always go the end of August, as It is quiet there. Regarding hurricanes, Aruba is "out of the belt", and the weather is to the north in the Caribean sea. They did have a few close encounters over the years, but nothing head-on. The result is mostly heavy rain and some beach erosion, and I can recall that happening 3 times in the past 25 years I have been going there. I wouldn't worry...book the vacation and enjoy!!
