Question
QUESTION: Hi, I am coming to Aruba from  the UK in February 2009, I am not keen on large hotels and wonder if you know of any Guest Houses on the Island.  I will be travelling alone, but meeting up with friends.

ANSWER: Hi Ken..Guest houses..as in apartments? Rental homes? Are you looking for low cost accomodations??
Tons of places to stay, but you have to be a bit more specific.
I would not recommend "rental Houses", as they are a target for thieves and prone to break-ins when you are gone, and at times when you are actually in the house!
They do have some low cost "apartments for tourists/visitors.
Best to go to Aruba.com or aruba4u.com,  as they are listed there. Prices are definately cheaper then the hotels, but often away from the beach areas. Rental car advised when using these facilities.

QUESTION: Thanks for your prompt reply.  A guest house in the UK is were the accommodation is normally a small 'family run' hotel.  Money is not a problem, I just prefer a smaller intimate residence than large hotels.  Somewhere with Bed and Breakfast included.  I would not want to rent a house or apartment.

Ken..above is the address for apartments. From what I been hearing, the Paradera apartments are clean, well maintained and not too expensive. A lot of positive reviews about this place.
Of course, check out the other listings. have a great trip!!
