Question
Hi Andy,
I have a question. I have been told there are some Arubans who have emigrated to the United States. I would like to know which U.S. cities do Arubans emigrate to, such as New York or Miami or Atlanta? If you know, what is the approximate number of Arubans emigrating to the U.S. Would Aruba be considered to be a rich or poor country. Please let me know if you are able to answer my questioons.

Answer
Yes, Arubans do come to the U.S., but no city in particular. They usually come to visit family, go to school, or a vacation, just as we would go to their island to relax!! Not too many emigrate here, as other countries do, as they have virtually no unemployment, & good medical care. Arubans have a bonding with their island, and prefer to stay there, as getting work in the U.S. is difficult, and their stay is limited here. There are exceptions, and they do move here with other family members either from mairriage, or a professional occupation.
