Question
QUESTION: Hi i am from Australia and we are getting married in March and we we are thinking Aruba for 5/6 nights.
is it worth staying there or going there as part of a cruise ship.

please help i am struggling. Is march/april a good time to go or is rainy season..
thanks

ANSWER: Hi Daniel. March is usually still pretty busy there, as things tend to slow down in April. By cruise, you really do not have much time to do things except walk thru downtown oranjestad and shop. (boring, for me!) If you stay the 5 to 6 days, you get to see most of the island and try their many superb resturants, and get the "real" fel of the island.
Weather in April is still warm..arond 82 to 88 during the day.
I think the only factor I would be concerned with is price.
If the cost is less than the cruise, definately take the 5-6 days.

I heard many times from cruise visitors that they hated to leave the island, as they only had around 12 hours, and they found they wished they could stay longer. If it was my choice, I would do the 5-6 days there! If there is anything else I can help you with, fel free to contact me again!

QUESTION: hi thanks for that. we appreciate your comments.
well we have a decision to make weather to stay 5 nights at cozumel mexico or 5 nights in aruba and we havent decided which one is best, hence the questions.
have you been to cozumel??

Answer
Umm..yes. Mexico is Mexico. Lots of drugs and dealers around. (Aruba does have them, but not as rampant).
I don't dare to drink the water in Mexico, but Aruba has the 2nd largest desalination plant in the world, and their drinking water is fresh and pure.
Aruba has, as you will find, almost all their people speak english, and american currency is used.
I find other bariers as Mexico non-existant in Aruba. It's just a more relaxed, tranquil island.
Alrhough these are my opinions between both destinations, you way want to do a bit of research on both. Both have their pros and cons, but Aruba seems to be the vote getter by many of my friends who have visited both. :)
