Aruba - living in Aruba

Question
Is it possible to purchase a home in Aruba and live there full time? I read your response regarding the strict immigration policy, but does that apply to people who own a home there? What about if your are financially self sufficient and do not need a job there? Would citizenship be required to purchase property or live there? Thank you.

Answer
Yes..it is quite possible. You do not need citizenship status to purchase a home there, however, you will have to show financial stability.
Proper income to satisfy immigration authorities, along with medical insurance are the most important.
Also, it is good to know, and to secure an Aruban attorney for all these processes, as all the documents and paperwork is in Dutch!
