Question
Hi Andy.
Me and a couple of friends are currently living in San Diego and have been looking at Aruba to go to during christmas and new years. I am just wondering, how is the surfing in aruba? is it even possible to surf there? thank you in advance

best regards
Anders

Answer
Hi Anders! The only surfing I know about is what I see on TV ! I had a previous question like this, and I gave my observation regarding wave heights from my point of view from the hotel side of the island. I noted the highest I seen on most days were 1 to 2 feet.
I was called an idiot, and not knowing anything about surfing, as This surfer said there are wave heights about 4 feet on the eastern side of the island. I found that he was somewhat correct.
The east side is more to the open waters, has a rough/jagged coastline. Takes about 15 minutes to drive there. Hope this helps you get under way!
