Andy,

I havent travled in a long while, I am starting a business and things atr tight.  I was wondering if you knew of any site or place that offers a last minute getaway?  I am hoping to for example check the internet Dec 23rd or 24th or 25th for that matter and find a package that I purchase and maybe even leave that same day.  Traveling by myself.  

Any advice you can give I would really appreciate!

Hi Chris!  Christmas time is in their high season, and also very busy for them. I would check travel packages NOW.
Remember, you also have to coordinate your air travel along with your lodging. Those two may not mix right.
You can also try booking everything, and adding trip insurance if something comes up that you can not make it. Read any policy carefully to make sure it will cover the type of cancellation you may encounter.
You also may want to check accomodatios/availability on  www.aruba.com   Follow the links to the hotels, and you may get some idea if they will have a room either at that time, or within the few days you intend on arriving. Just better to be safe, than sorry!
