Question
I am planning on taking my 15 year old granddaughter to Aruba, her parents are not able to go. She does have a passport. Do you know if I need any other type of documentation since her parents are not going?
Thank You

Answer
Hi Pat..In case Aruban/US authorities request it, you will need written permission from BOTH parents that they are aware of, and giving permission to take their child to Aruba. It is usually not asked for, but if it is requested and you are not in posession of this written permission, it can make things a bit tacky.
As an extra precaution, I would also add contact information on the bottom of the permission paper "Just in case".
Make sure the passport is up to date and valid, as she will not be admitted on the flight to Aruba.
Have a great trip!!
