Question
I have a wheat intolerance, but not to European wheat. I cannot eat bread, pizza, pasta, etc., made with wheat or white flour in the US, but in Europe, I have no problems. Apparently European wheat has far less gluten than American wheat. Would you have any way of knowing, or finding out, from where Aruba imports its wheat, or if they grow their own?

Answer
Hi Ellin! I can not honestly, and safely say where any food provider on the island gets their supplies from. There is the possibility that some, may get their raw products from the Netherlands, but it would be on the safe side that you ask when you are there. Something as common as wheat products can vary greatly on who supplies and purchases it. Aruba does a lot of importing, since the majority of its supplies come from cargo ships.
I have read some blogs where people have your exact problem, and they were told to ask, either at the restuarant or food store, and products were available. the key word in your case would be to "ask"!!  Sorry I could not help you along any further, and..enjoy your trip!!!
