Aruba/Aruba in August

Question
Hi Andy,
Thanks for all you help and advice.  We are going to Aruba  in mid August with 4 kids ( 4 years to 12 years) and staying at the Radisson.  I have a couple of questions: The weather seems very hot. I checked the weather for today:  93F and feels like 106F (and it's not August yet).  This is really very hot (specially for young kids) compared to what we hear about Aruba great weather.  Anything we are missing? Also will the kids have enough to keep them busy for 9 days in Aruba?  Thanks again for all your time and help.

Answer
Hi Johnny! First remember like most of the islands there, you are near the equator! Yes, Aruba can get that high in temps, but it is relaxed by the constant trade winds. I am there myself the last 2 weeks in August, as I prefer the not so crowded conditions. The actual temps are really around 89 to 94, I never seen it get too much hotter than that. A tip, though...the hottest times are at noon, to 5 pm, when the sun is high. I use this time for eating, shopping or going to the casino. If you are outside, use a good sunblock. The kids will have plenty to do with the pool and the sand, plus all hotels have activity centers just for the kids. You will find this info when you get to the Raddisson. I stay at the Marriott Renaissance and Aruba Beach Club the last 2 weeks of August. I will enjoy...and I know you will too! If I can be if further help, feel free to contact me!
