QuestionMy husband and I will be hopefully going to Aruba this March for our 10th Wedding Annv. Can you help me with some of these questions.
1. Should we do all-inclusive?
2. Do you know of any out of the way hotels, motels, reputable that would not be that expensive but would be on the beach or near the beach.
3. Anything else you have to offer, please. We are on somewhat of a budget.
AnswerHi Michelle! (always loved that name!)Question #1 - I discourage all-inclusives. Unless you do a lot a lot of drinking ( I do not). There are so many places to eat on the Island, both American and local flair, and by all inclusive, you are restricted to the 3 or 4 eateries they have at the hotel you are staying at. Also, I find I can eat daily, and it costs less then the extra money required for the all-inclusive. #2 - Go to www.arubabeachclub.net. Nice place, average priced, right on the beach. Well run, clean operation. It is a timeshare facility, but they do rent rooms. I am an owner there, and those are the reasons I bought at that place. I enjoy my stay every year there. Also, check out www.aruba4u.com and www.arubabound.com for info and links that will help you out in your quest for information. Also..depending on where you plan to go..I never rent a car there, with gas and insurances charges. Taxi service is not too expensive there, so you can save a bit on that idea. However, if there is anything in particular I can Help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me again!! If things get confusing or complex as the time gets close, we can share e-mail addresses and/or I-M each other. I am here to help!!!
